The Blue Drum Kit Kit consists of the award-winning Mouse and two amazing and stereo matched pair of Dragonfly microphones. The Blue Drum Kit Kit consists of the award-winning Mouse and two amazing and stereo matched pair of Dragonfly microphones. These three microphones complete the sonic spectrum needed in producing a full-bodied, live recording session for the most discerning drummer and engineer.

Dragonfly Condenser Microphone

Class A discrete amplifier circuit delivers superb detail. Blue's famous hand-tuned & tested large-diaphragm capsule. Integrated capsule shockmount and rotating head for optimal placement. Tight, punchy low end, contoured mid range and extended top end. Fast, maneuverable and beautifully engineered, the Dragonfly employs an innovative design that offers fine tuning and precise placement to please the most discerning recordist, combined with an ease of use that is without equal among contemporary microphones -- and at a price that's considerably less than anything in its class. Winner of both the 2001 TEC Award and an Electronic Musician's 2001 Editor's Choice award, the Dragonfly is a unique pressure-gradient cardioid condenser microphone, employing the Blue's hand-built single-membrane large diaphragm capsule coated with a 6-micron mylar film of pure gold and aluminum. Enclosed within a rotating spherical grille, the capsule can be positioned and adjusted in the smallest spaces. Complete with an integrated elastic shockmount, the microphone's electronics are based on a class A discrete circuit, with a transformerless output. Its sonic character gives flight to everything from vocals to percussion, electric guitar and bass, as well as more "difficult" sources such as saxophones and stringed instruments.

Larger-than-life sound with a boost in the upper and lower frequencies and a strong presence. Rotating head for optimal placement. With its unique rotating capsule, The Mouse is one of the most versatile and snazzy-looking mics you'll ever lay eyes on. The Mouse is a cardioid condenser which employs our hand-built single-membrane, large diaphragm capsule. Enclosed within a rotating spherical grille, the capsule can be positioned and adjusted in the smallest of spaces. Perfectly suited for broadcast and voiceover work, you'll find The Mouse equally at home in front of a kick drum, acoustic bass, electric bass amplifier, snare drum and any other sources where accurate reproduction of low frequency transients is desired.
