Positives:

This is a fun piece to tinker around with and hopefully can add a little something to your creative environment. For the money, it’s hard to go wrong with what this item offers.

Negatives:

No real negatives other than the item’s narrow range of uses.

My Review

I picked up a Korg Monotron at Guitar Center on sale for $29.99. I really didn’t know much about it other than I liked the idea of a pocket sized analog synth. For the price, I figured it was worth buying just to give it a try. The item does what it is advertised to do and provides a creative spark for a small investment.

One really cool feature is the AUX Input. You can send your own sounds through the synth and manipulate it with the controls. This could be really useful on a track or sound that needs a little extra character.

Overall, I think this is a cool little gadget that can be useful in the right setting.
