My Review

I’ve tried this microphone in my studio with some vocals. This Neumann is the cheapest large diaphragm condenser microphone produced by Neumann.

The 102 has a really nice bottom and clear low-end. It’s not the typical U87 sound, cause this mic has been built with different capsule and components. But it’s open and airy in the med-high range, with a shape at about 6KHz. The overall sound is very defined, but not so deep: a good microphone with a positive price/quality ratio. Quickly tried with mi AC gtr, not impressed.
